Jane Ruby leaves another failed relationship and goes to her aunt’s memorial in Oregon where learns she’s part of a world within the world, where shapeshifters, seers, and women called tamers co-exist and navigate a life hidden from mortal eyes, but in plain sight.
Jane’s beliefs about herself, her children, and the family that created her are challenged by these revelations, and she tries to digest there are forces actively seeking to destroy her and others like her, and may have caused her aunt’s death.
